Open Position - Lead Developer / Programmer
EAA has an opportunity for a talented IT professional to join our team. The Lead Developer, under the general direction of the Director of IT, will lead, plan, design, develop, improve, and maintain complex computer applications, part of a complex application system, and/ or large scale application systems, including modifying existing routines or purchased application software, to process information and deliver automated business solutions. Leads and coordinates project development activities, communications, and IT, business, and outside third party resources to deliver applications systems on time and within budget, to mutually agreed-upon specifications and level of quality. Coaches and mentors IT staff in areas of analysis, design, rapid and agile development methods, source control, and project management aspects (with particular emphasis on work estimation).
This position typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field. A combination of education and experience may be considered. Minimum of 6 years experience in developing business application systems of high business value, including software development, in-depth knowledge of software development lifecycle principles, methods, practices and tools, industry standards and trends, and a minimum of 3 years of project leadership/project management experience for projects of varying sizes and scope is required. Solid background in applying structured systems development lifecycle methods, techniques, and tools and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio .NET, Visual Basic .NET, ASP.NET, SQL Server 2000 and 2005 and Crystal Reports is required. Solid skills in relational database design concepts and techniques and knowledge of Microsoft T-SQL, stored procedures is required. A basic understanding of Service Oriented Architecture and Unified Modeling Language and SSIS programming is a plus.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with technical and non-technical users at all levels in the organization, a demonstrated ability to understand business processes to identify opportunities for automation, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work well in team environment.
